Senate Schedule
May 20, 2003
The Senate will convene at 9:30 a.m. and begin a period of morning business until 10:00 a.m. with time equally divided between Senator Cornyn and the Minority Leader.
At 10:00 a.m., the Senate will proceed to the consideration of S. 1050, the DoD Authorization Bill. Only relevant 1st and 2nd degree amendments are in order.
Currently, the Graham 2nd degree amendment on TRICARE (# 696) is pending to the Daschle 1st degree amendment on TRICARE (# 689).
From 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m., the Senate will recess for the weekly
policy lunches.
At 2:15 p.m. the Senate is likely to resume consideration of S. 1050.
During Monday's session:
The nomination of S. Maurice Hicks, Jr., of Louisiana, to be U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana (Exec. Cal. #172) was confirmed by a vote of 86-0. S. Res. 100, honoring Ford Motor Company, passed by unanimous consent. S. Con. Res. 44, recognizing the contribution of Asian Pacific Americans to the country, passed by unanimous consent.

2nd degrees in order

- S. 15, Project BioShield (Sen. Cal. #53)
- FAA Reauthorization bill
The Senate may consider the following measures in June:
- S. 14, the National Energy Policy Act (Sen. Cal. #79)
- Medicare Prescription Drugs
